| Tier | Partner | Why consider it | Keep in mind | Saved evidence | My list |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | ![]() | Piercing Shadow Ball leads into a Ghost/Poison pool; poison can set up stronger Hex hits. | 97 HP and 60 physical defense punish contact mistakes. Hex needs a status setup. | 10 / 50 recordsBest · #6 | |
| S | ![]() | Homing Confusion, 1.55 Special attack and speed 133 make a coherent ranged start with room to reposition. | Build Special damage around its Psychic attacks. Swords Dance boosts Physical attack instead. | 9 / 50 recordsBest · #15 | |
| S | ![]() | Water Gun immediately uses 1.52 Special attack; Aqua Ring and Dragon coverage offer several workable directions. | Keep the main damage route coherent instead of splitting early levels across every available move. | No record in this period | |
| S | ![]() | 138 HP and two defenses of 120 support a piercing Shadow Ball start, with Ghost and Dragon options later. | Its 1.25 Special attack is moderate beside dedicated damage picks. Invest in damage as well as surviving. | No record in this period | |
| S | ![]() | Sludge matches 1.50 Special attack; 133 HP and speed 133 give this poison starter a forgiving foundation. | Poison and Dragon still face type matchups. High stats do not make enemy attack markers safe to ignore. | 1 / 50 recordsBest · #21 | |
| A | ![]() | Homing Confusion and 1.44 Special attack give a direct damage plan with speed 128. | 95 HP and 45 physical defense make it far less forgiving than its damage suggests. | No record in this period | |
| A | ![]() | Water Gun, poison options and Aqua Ring offer ranged damage, status and a regeneration route. | Physical defense is only 65. Poison or Shell Bell does not grant unlimited healing; keep space around you. | 5 / 50 recordsBest · #12 | |
| A | ![]() | Speed 133 and an aligned Thunder Shock start make a mobile Electric pick with a clear upgrade route. | 99 HP and 60 physical defense require clean movement. The Electric pool gives limited type variety. | No record in this period | |
| A | ![]() | Piercing Thunder Shock fits 1.39 Special attack, while Flying moves add other attack patterns. | Discharge asks you to stay nearer enemies than Thunder Shock. Match your positioning to the active move. | No record in this period | |
| A | ![]() | Confusion starts at range, backed by 115 HP and balanced 100 defenses. | Its 1.25 Special attack trails Mewtwo. It does not inherit every species' move pool just because it is Mew. | No record in this period | |
| A | ![]() | 1.42 Special attack fits homing Confusion and the Psychic upgrade route. | 99 HP and 60 physical defense leave little margin. Psycho Cut uses its weaker Physical attack. | No record in this period | |
| A | ![]() | An aligned Electric start, speed 126 and 110 HP offer a balanced alternative to fragile Electric attackers. | 75 physical defense is its weaker side. Thunderbolt and Discharge are positioning choices, not passive free damage. | No record in this period |
Starting move, Physical or Special attack fit, and available upgrades.
HP, defenses, speed and the positioning a partner’s starting move asks of you.
Saved survival boards add context. They are not win rates or equal-condition tests.
S: first picks · A: strong alternatives · B: stronger with a planned route or careful play · C: lower priority at comparable investment.
We reviewed all 73 species appearing in the saved Solo and Group boards. Grades compare general Solo progression at similar permanent upgrades, not maximum damage or a specific boss matchup. They weigh the starting move, attack-category fit, usable upgrades, bulk and movement together; they are not calculated from leaderboard frequency. Partners inside a tier are ordered by Pokédex number. B and C picks can still produce long runs. Other species remain unassessed.
Our judgement uses the checked game build and saved results, not claimed personal playtests. Older advice may predate the Physical/Special split. Active melee grants 25% damage reduction against non-pure damage; Hex benefits from burn, poison or slow on its target. Group results show whole teams, not individual roles, healing support or proven synergy.
